I was looking at this picture and thinking about how beautiful she looks and then thought of the day she ran out into the street and was almost hit by a car. It was only inches between her and the front end of the car and at that moment I was so angry, in shock and sent her off to school. It was about 30 minutes later that I came to realize how very close that had been. I was so upset I went to school just to hug her. The portion of the poem says how the mower had spared a tuft of flowers just because they brought joy to his morning. To me it means the mower was aware and just appreciative of what God had given him, seeing the beauty in a simple thing; such as my child who is there on a daily basis but how often do I really stop and appreciate the wonderful gifts God had given me. Hopefully someday she will know how her presence in my life makes it so much better.
