This turned out SO great! I know she loved it! I love the way the O wires are separated and the flower and ribbons. Just enough froo froo for Allie!

Sketchbook with denim

I can NOT take credit for this idea. The "Zutter Zister" Michelle inspired me with her beautiful creation:

and I just enlarged mine to fit 8 1/2 x 11 paper as a sketchpad for my 12 year old daughter's birthday. She loved it and it was super fun to make!

I went to a thrift shop (here in Arizona one called "Savers" but I'm sure Goodwill would be the same) and bought a $4 pair of jeans. Used chipboard for the front and back cover and put erasable colored pencils in the pocket, which is glued, not sewn on.
