I have friends that live close to where forest fires have been rampant and they all say it is super scary once they start flames because it is so hard for them to be stopped!

JFF...POD...Forest fire #1

7-31-10...On my way to the mountains today I spotted these columns of smoke on a hillside, I knew it was the start of a forest fire and immediately called 911 and reported it...very thankful I did as no one else had. Last night, the 30th, there was a dry lightning storm and there was hundreds of ground strikes...this was the result of one of those strikes. The Dept of Natural Resources [DNR] responded quickly and put it out. [P7312077]
