7-31-10...On my way to the mountains today I spotted this column of smoke on a hillside, I knew it was the start of a forest fire and immediately called 911 and reported it...very thankful I did as no one else had. Last night, the 30th, there was a dry lightning storm and there was hundreds of ground strikes...this was the result of one of those strikes. The Dept of Natural Resources [DNR] responded quickly and put it out. [P7312082]
