This layout features a photo of my children that I took in Fall 1998 the year my son started school. They were adorable when they would be reunited at the end of the school day – like long lost friends. I used the Quickutz flourishes as intertwining vines. They are symbolic for how I see my kids growing together and apart throughout their two separate, but connected lives. I’ve layered acrylic flowers and tiny gems on top of chipboard flowers to give this page a little sparkle.

JOURNALING:
[i]My two little loves, I feel such joy when I see how close you are. You have been buddies from the start, and your relationship continues to deepen and mature. These days when you both come home from school, you don’t always come together with the enthusiasm you once did. But I know you still enjoy each other’s company very much. It seems that now after your separate school experiences, you both just need a little space and time to readjust to being home and being together again. Even so, there are times every once in awhile when I still catch a glimpse of unbridled joy when you are reunited.
