July 16th, 2010~~> My dear friend Angie's western wedding. Poem reads:
I rode in with the sunrise
I made it on my own
I came into a new world
One I'd never known
A cowboy with a heart
looking for a friend
someone to stick by me
until the very end.
I found the person I wanted
the reason I was there
Waiting patiently for me
to make us a pair.
I have never felt alone
now that we are together
I am sure that my cowgirl
will ride with me forever
Through the wind and dust and rain
Through the happiness-through the pain
Through the laughter and the tears
We will ride through all our fears.
And when the sun is ready to set
and we are ready to sleep
This day I will not forget
These memories--I'll keep.
I inked and glimmer misted the doily and sewed the white lace onto the white flower.
The fabulous yellow flower is from Angelica's Etsy shop and I used another wonderful sketch by the talented Liz Qualman
