Band camp rocked! Erika Noll, Valerie Scott, and I went to a week long summer band camp at Florida State University. We had so much fun!
The first night, we entertained our suite mates (left) whom we shared a bathroom with by pouring water in the toilet for along time. Yes, we were pretending to pee forever and thought we were pretty dang funny.
We made other friends.
Brad Wharton (above) played clarinet; he later became director at Lakeland High School. Kimmie (below) from Niceville, FL also played the clarinet was super fun. Alex (left) was our crazy friend whom we hung out with during free practice time. Actually, we “practiced” by osmosis with our music over our heads.
We did lots of other not so mature antics in the dorm. We lit sparklers in the dorm. We prank called people pretending we were part of the Lisa Lisa Fan Club. Because we were super proud of our high school band program, the 3 of us walked around the dorm chanting “Andrew J. Crew”. Mr. Crew was our amazing band director who we thought was famous in the band land. We also decorated Erika’s bunk one night with feminine products.
