This entry for Week #1 in the Swirlydoos August Round Robin is pretty much all August Shabby Ambition elements, from the beautiful papers and embellishments and inks to Lisa’s gorgeous Butterfly-of-the-Month collection.
The Technique Kit contained Tim Holtz fragment tile and a nice assortment of alcohol ink, along with an applicator, Blending Solution and Glossy Accents. I used these to embellish the butterfly that’s in the corner of the large photo.
I colored the chipboard with a variety of alcohol ink and some blending solution. I didn’t care for the results, so I poured a few drops of the oregano onto the applicator and went over it again. I repeated this one more time and ended up with a color that I loved so much that I dug out some white chipboard alphas from my stash and used the same technique on those.
This design is loosely based on the beautiful Beggahuna sketch that was included in last month’s Summer Serenity kit.
Le Roy, New York, where I grew up and some of the buildings of my childhood…
