This is for Lisa (StarSailor)’s SGC challenge at Swirlydoos. We are to use 3 techniques that we’ve learned as Swirly Savages. I’ve chosen to use three that are available in the Tech section.
First, I used Robin’s water distressing technique (available in the Video Tutorials) for the border around the top layer of pp.
Secondly, I used Lisa’s paper bag flower to make the large flower. For a twist, I used Shimmerz Pearlz instead of mist and a Petaloo Delila for the center.
And thirdly, I made the gold crown at the top of the tower using Bonnie’s heat embossing instructions.
(These last two are found with the Photo Techniques.)
The tower itself is made from the Bon Soir die cut, Modge Podge, pp and Stickles.
The beautiful flower vine was made especially for Swirlydoos by Angelica. There’s lots more available in her etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/angelicafranssen
With the exception of the Modge Podge and several of the inks, this layout is all from the August Shabby Ambition kit.

My son and granddaughter enjoying Bradley Beach, Delaware… Bill was teaching Sophia the fine art of building sand castles with a pail and shovel.
