You try things I only dream of doing! Another wonderful LO. I like the soft colors you used that go so well with the black and white photo. Aren't these old family photos a treasure? You did a marvelous job with this one!
OH MY! This is breathtaking! That frame turned out so awesome but then so did the rest of the layout. I understand the frustration of the paper buckling but what I do wen it buckles to much I will lay quite a few 12x12 paper packs on it when it's mostly dry, just slightly damp to flatten it back out, then go back and work on it later. Sometimes that helps a little. I'm so glad you didn't throw this one away! It's beautiful! TFS!
Beautiful. I think it turned out great. What was the name of the mining town. Just wondering because my Grandpa worked the mines in Ludlow and was there durng the Ludlow Massacre.
Iabsolutely love the frame. The distressing my not have turned out exactly the way you envisioned but I like it just the way it is. Don't be so hard on yourself. The flowers are gorgeous too TFS
Are you kidding me?! This is gorgeous! "Almost landed in the trash??" Can you empty your trash for me cause I could use what you're throwing away. :) I love the colors, the pearls, and, of course, the frame. It is really cool! Love it!
I am done with water distressing ... it aggrevates me to have paper buckling and fighting. This one about landed in the trash! These are my Italian grandparents on their wedding day in 1923. One story from this is that the wedding dress Nonna has one got passed from sister to sister and also cousins. Grandpa came from Italy to work the mines (big story there) and met Grandma in this tiny So. CO coal mining town that isn't even there anymore.
The frame is from Dusty Attic. I painted it white, then dry brushed on black, let that dry. 1 coat of Shimmerz Blueberry Cobbler and lightly dry brushed on white. I do love the frame! TFL...
