This is so cute and inspirational. I have lots of sewing related pps to do a layout about my mom's sewing skills but I haven't done one yet. My dad always had the camera ready to take photos of us girls in our homemade finery. This is such a darling layout. Love the embellies..that little girl in the corner is so cute. Love the title too. And love your story too about your youthful dress..more power to ya!
Oh GOSH, this is so very very sweet...I ADORE these photos of you and your sis. (And that sofa in the background looks VERY retro-cool!! Obviously your parents were trend-setters!) Love the sewing pattern and vintage cut outs...and the splashes of yellow are perfect! adorable polka dot alpha too! But now I'm thinking about the dress you wore to work! haha! Want to see a photo of you in that too!!
Those photos are so wonderful!!! I love how you used that pattern paper, did you make that? Either way it goes so perfectly!!! Wonderful design and, of course, a FAV!
Your photos are wonderful and I love how you've scrapped them using that pattern! Perfect title for this layout and I love how the black with white dotted letters play off the little child with her white with black dotted outfit down in the corner. I'm sure your new dress looks as good on you now as this dress did back then!
Such a creative page!!! Don't you just love going back through the old pictures...Now I would love to see the dress you wore Monday to work!!!
like the little cut out girl in the corner...
What a cute layout! I like all the little girl cutout. Awww you & your sister looked adorable in your little dresses...How very sweet! What great pics to have!
Absolutely stunning page, Cindy ! I adore your old-er photos !!!!!!! Love the pps you used ! The pattern reminded my the time when I used to make clothes for my daughter and myself !!
Cindy, this layout is just darling! The girl in the corner is adorable. My mother always made most all of my clothes up to my wedding dress! I always felt special because no one else wore anything like it. I bet you felt the same way!
Well you know what they say ' what goes around comes around' - this is brilliant! Love the pattern piece in the background and the cute embellie in the corner!
I like how Toby matches your title!!!! fabulous LO, love the pp's and pattern piece & super cute photos! and well done you...compliments from young med. students, you go girl!!!!!!!!
The dress I wore to work on Monday was similar to the dress I wore in this picture fifty-some years ago. Probably a little too short and a little too young looking for me, but I liked the dress when I saw it in the store! And a new medical student told me he liked the dress!
Journaling: "My mother always kept us in the latest fashion and my dad made sure he got pictures of us dressed up. Terry and I are pictured here in fall attire posing with our Dalmatian, Toby. c1957
