Journaling: The many ways you have changed our lives… wow, where do I even begin? The colors of the rainbow appear much brighter. The smell of your sweet skin is intoxicating. Having you come along has made us want to be better people. Having you in our life has made us appreciate the beauty in everything around us. Each day with you gives more reason to live, love, and cherish the special moments we have been blessed with. Your bright smile and giving manner will always touch those who know you. We are so lucky to be your parents, Domonique! Daddy and I love you so.
Fun ideas tips and tricks: The edges of the layout, including the background, are rolled slightly to give a shabby appearance. I used the same color ink as the background paper to ink the edges of the journaling to help it pop off of the page. I tore a hole for the photo so that the green background paper would be exposed, creating a "frame" for the photo. The edges of the torn paper aroun the photo are rolled tightly. I added silk flowers to add femininity to the layout. The journaling is printed with the same color ink as the background paper, to completely tie in the layout. Because the "Our Little Girl" tag didn't match my layout originally, I sanded the color off around the edges, then inked with a color that DID match. :)
