Aren't you glad you took that photo and what a unique and darling photo it is. I LOVE how you scrapped it..simply lovley...Great job and I love the title work. I miss my babies too..they're 20 and 24 and it went by so fast.
This is so sweet! I love the journaling - it's so heartfelt and touching. I know how you feel, getting sad about your babies growing up... I wish mine could stay small forever! Gorgeous page, as always!
Izzy, you made me cry!!! ...Pablo is now 11 months and is standing and trying his first steps. I'll take a photo like yours, but first I'm going to get a pedicure!! jaja ......LOVE the journaling, photo and title
I am so honored that you lifted me! This is absolutely fantastic. You are one of those scrapbookers who touch my heart with your journaling every time. Seriously, I'm over here tearing up. I know exactly what you mean. My baby is three now! Sigh. Beautiful colors and design and EVERYTHING!
This is just so sweet and I know exactly how you are feeling but my kids are 10 and 7!! Cuddle him lots and make the most of every second....my 10 yr old can hardly stand me these days and I am heartbroken!! I so miss those days when I was his whole world!! Hugs to you!! xx
What a sweet pic and journaling! I love this so much, my little one is only 5 weeks but I feel sad that she is growing so big already.
Thanks for the reminder to hold them close while they let you!!
This is so touching, Izzy! A lovely photo of the two pairs of feet. My son is now 15, 6'3" and wears size 12 shoes. Yes, his feet are now moving quickly away from us. Thanks for expressing the bittersweet experience of children growing up and away....this is a FAVE for me :)
Do you ever look at your children and wonder where your babies went? I made this page awhile back on a day that I was feeling sad about my big boy being all grown up. On that day, I found this photo of us together, just his baby feet with mine. I remember so well that time when I could hold him tight whenever I wanted. I miss that boy, now 3, and I wrote this to him and made this page.
The journaling is about my son's first baby steps and all the places his feet will take him – away from me - as he grows. It ends like this:
Today, I hold you closer. For too soon, these feet will go. I don't know where these feet will take you, but I hope they always find their way back home to me. These feet I have washed with my tears. I love these feet.
The design is modeled after a layout, One Of My Absolute Favorite Memories, by Heather J. Landry. You can find her page here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/92738/view/2576387/-1/160/4.html Thanks for taking a peek. I can't get this page to look right. When I increase the contrast so you can see the journaling, it makes the pic really dark.
