What an interesting page..Like how you did the title. It does have a
gothic feel to it. What a story....love the skull and the flourish..like those dark flowers perfect for this page!!!
Very clever trick with your sticker backings Kimmi! I would never think to use something like that, lol. I really luv the dark edgy feel you gave this LO & especially the doodles skull & flourish! : ]
I love the sign. It made me smile. It has been a long time since I have been there but I remember it being kind of spooky! A very interesting and compelling page.
CLEVER to keep & use the adhesive letters backings!! What a funny 'warning' sign...never saw one quite like this. You are a true scrapper to snap a photo and scrap this! Love it! Very nice to have the background/history to the legend. Creative and unique. :)
Love this...I remember seeing and reading about the ravens when we did the Tower Tour fourish years ago. We ended up buying a board game called "Mind the Gap" and your player tokens were the various ravens of the Tower.
This is sooo cool! I love Alfred Hitchcock movies, and the first time I saw Ravens, it totally creeped me out! This reminds me of the movie a great deal!
OMG! What a fabulous idea to keep the white backings of the letters! I never thought of that!!! Ok, I think you did a fabulous job on this lo! I love it!
Having just received a Xyron from my secret sister, its great to see what can be done with them! I never heard of a number being attached to the raven story, but it is a pretty well known story that if the ravens ever leave the Tower of London, it will fall down!
This is one of the Tower of London Ravens. Legend has it that failing to keep 6 ravens at the Tower of London will mean the great White Tower will crumble and a terrible disaster shall befall England. They always keep 7 ravens here, just in case :) Their names are Hardey, Thor, Odin, Gwyllum, Cedric, Hugine and Munin :) I wonder which one this is?
I wanted to make this a kind of gothic lo, but it didn't really turn out that way. I have loads of skulls on there on the flowers and the rub-on and I doodled the flourish, journalling lines and frames on the pics. The white alphas are actually the backings of black sticky alphas that I had already used (I keep the backings, just in case) and I used my Xyron Create-a-Sticker to adhere them. This is also for the Monthly Sketch Challenge, week 3. TFL!
