OMG!!! This is stunning!!! I *love* the ribbon so much and the photo edit is brilliant. I think it is perfect as is. I love it w/o a mat!!!! A masterpiece IMO!!!
The photo looks great to me and it's the end result that's important. You were able to alter the photo to compensate and it looks so artsy now! Inking the photo edges would be the only thing I would suggest. This one is going into my favorites.
Wow! You took that photo from awful to absolutely AMAZING! I never would have guessed that you started out with a less than perfect photo! I just LOVE IT! Love the black and how you laid out the title! It's just perfect!!! :)
This is a beautiful photo. The bluriness actually brings something special to it... makes the mood more private, like you are getting a glimpse at something through a window or something... and aren't actually in the room. It's a sweet moment to capture on film, focused or not. Nice layout.
I think this is absolutely gorgeous the way it is!!! I wouldn't change a thing. It is perfect!!!! I love what you did with that photo and the hanging ribbon is perfect!!!!! Love it all!!!!!
I'm not sure that anything HAS to be added or changed. It can stand alone as it is. It's beautiful! Are you planning on adding journaling? If so, I think Sheila's idea of hidden journaling with a tab showing would be good. I love how you adjusted your photo to B&W to make up for disappointing photos.
This is really beautiful! I think you did the right thing in spite of your disappointment with your pics... and I know I'm not part of your critique group, but I think it is PERFECT just the way it is!!!
This is great Kristy! I love how you had the photo redone, it looks great! I think if anything is missing maybe it would be something in the bottom right corner for balance. An oversized photo corner or flowers like Julie suggested. I love the simplicity of it though.
I love it. What a great way to use photos your not happy with, this lo is awesome and the picture looks great this way!! I love the ribbon what a neat idea. I love that it is simple and maybe only missing journaling a hidden pocket under the picture with a tab showing? I Love it! Did I say that
I love this photo and how it has the writting over it. Is that something you managed to do your self? As to what you could add to it maybe punch out a couple of big flowers from some aged looking paper that's got a wrtting pattern in it similar to the pic and add to the corner near your title with brads. It's just a thought as I love it as is.
I think it is beautifully breathtaking!!! I love all the ribbon! especially hanging down long like that (very imaginative!)
Ok I have 2 suggestions (not that this honestly needs improvement but if you feel it lackging ...)sand the edges of the photo and maybe ink them a little (it will go with that whole impressionistic look :)) and maybe do an off center photo mat hanging down lower to the right than the photo.
But I honestly think this is MARVELOUS!!!
Totally inspired by Becky (samsmom)!! I just can't get enough of her work! I was devastated when I saw my pictures from DS's birth, my awful camera made accompanied by poor lighting made awful pictures. I was devastated! So... I've decided to try and make the best of them, converting to B&W and having them developed thru an online company with some overlays, to help cut the blur... more impressionistic than actual.. lol.. So... here it is.. I'm not 100% happy with it, I just feel like it's missing that *SOMETHING*
Welcome suggestions! :) TFL!! - K
