My Nighteyes - Scraps of Darkness

I did this lo for forevervampress' The Darker Side Challenge. The theme of the challenge was to incorporate your favorite book(s) into the layout.
Nighteyes is a character in my favorite series, The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb. He is a wolf that "bonds" with the main character, Fitz. He's my favorite character in the series.
This layout is of me with my 7 month old wolf hybrid, Timber, in 1990. The top layer of the lo opens at the keyhole like a book cover to show the photo and hidden journaling that reads: This is me and Timber in July 1990. He was hit by a car and killed on July 29, 1990. 20 years later I can finally think of him without crying.
