I'm so sorry about your doggie. We had to put our oldest dachshund to sleep a couple years ago, and it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I still haven't done the memorial page, and I appreciate you sharing this... I was afraid it would be too hard. You did a beautiful job on your tribute. Nicole
ok, I think we shop for the same papers. I have the same paper that I also used on my dalmation's layout. I will have to upload it. I also had to have my dalmation put down. I got him when he was a puppy and I miss him so much. I know how you feel. Hopefully you have other furbabies like I do to share you love with.
My mom just lost her dog last week, I have been thinkiing about how to scrapbook Jack, now I know, thank you for sharing your love for your dog and for this great LO.
brought tears to my eyes - I still remember the day we lost our dog and my ds has really never got over it - they become such a part of our lives - I'm so very sorry...it is truly a beautiful tribute
This is beautiful, and so touching. I lost my 14 year old collie in Nov of '09 too, and we took photos on her last day also. I'm not sure how or when I'll scrap them, but this page is a lovely inspiration. {{hugs}}
I know your pain waaay to well. It is better to love and lose than to never have loved at all and that is true even with our beloved pets. Beautiful Domino, beautiful lo and beautiful tribute.
Losing a furbaby is like losing a member of the family. You did Domino & your DS justice though...this is such a lovely, sweet & heartwarming layout...beautifully done...
Hugs to you and your son! I know losing a furbaby is really tough. The design is awesome. I love that knotted ribbon! Such a wonderful tribute. I'm glad your son loved it.
Okay. This put me straight through to The Ugly Cry....Level 5 on the Kleenex Meter! I am absolutely heartbroken over your loss and just want you to know that many of us "get it" and feel your deep grief. Domino was a gorgeous dog with the perfect name! (I love that name for a Dalmatian.) I hope doing this page was in some way helpful/therapeutic for you and I'm glad that it is so meaningful to your son. You have my heartfelt sympathy and prayers. (( HUGS )) coming your way.
this has brought tears to my eyes...I am so sorry for your Loss. Domino was such a beautiful dog and with that list of 'things you will miss' I can see why he has left a big hole in your family. wonderful tribute page!
how sad and heartbreaking. we have a little lulu so i can only imagine this was hard to do. BUT you made an amazing tribute and i love your journaling.
this is horrible. I'm so sorry for your loss what a gorgeous dog.. and what a wondeful memorial. other than the sadness that it comes with the actual layout is gorgeous
I'm so sorry for you loss. With 5 of my own I can totally understand how this was a hard layout to do. Your journaling made me smile cause it sounds like a couple of my dogs.
Domino was a very handsome dog and your LO is a great tribute to him. I'm so glad you could put this together, I know it must have been hard. You will never forget him but it will become easier to remember him and think about all those things that brought you joy.
I'm totally crying here...I'm so sorry for your loss. What an amazing page...so proud of you for getting the strength to scrap it. What a beautiful dog.
I am so sorry for your loss. I bet you miss him so much - he looks like he was a wonderful family member. Your layout is such a nice way to remember him.
This is for Scrap Your Pet Challenge and September Monthly Sketch Challenge-*Extra Special Challenge.* Use a sketch made designed by someone on SB.com. I choose Trishahill's Sketch #117.
This is a LO of our beloved Domino. The two pics with DS were taken the day we had Dommi put to sleep. It was Dom's birthday, don't know if that was right or wrong, just happened that way. That was a tough day. Between being sick and being heart sick, this took me more than 4 days to complete. I'm quite happy with the result. Hope DS is pleased as well.
The journaling reads:
We will miss your funny spotted face deadly tail wagging welcome home greetings tug o war games dragging us on walks trying to be a lap dog big wet kisses bed hogging cat tattling howling with dad You brought us GREAT JOY!
TFL
Everyone has been so amazingly supportive-Thanks so very much! BTW-DS loved it. He wiped a few tears as well-bless his heart. Thank you all for your kind words. :)
