Journaling:
Sammy, you are my little lovebug. You’ve been an extremely affectionate child since birth and you’re showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. I get more kisses and hugs from you than I get from Max and Daddy combined, as well as tons of compliments. Out of the blue, you’ll look at me and say, “Mommy, your hair is just boooootiful” or “Mommy, you’re gorgeous!” You really know how to make me feel good, especially when I’m not feeling too attractive with all this baby weight.
You’re already such a smooth talker that Daddy and I joke about how you are someday going to be the kid who kisses all the girls at school. Last night when you overheard us talking about this, you looked right at us and said, “I already kiss Maddy at school.” Yikes! We had no idea you were already putting the moves on your classmates. You are one budding little Cassanova, aren’t you?
Then this morning, you kept yelling to me from your bed, “Mommmmmmm!!! Mommmmmmmmm!!!” until I woke up and yelled back, “What, Sam?” Your response? “I love you!” So darn sweet. I love you, too, you little Oedipus.
