It's therapy. no one can have the sun without the clouds... no one can have the love without the pain... in rememberence of Patricia Cimaroli-Massari...
SHCG: This is wonderful... what I really like is that when I initially looked at it, I thought it was going to be a tribute to the WTC, but on further inspection it's about your memories. Great dual meaning. I love how the photo definitely is the focal point and everything else just blends... awesome job!
SHCG: The picture is really great! Like the way you've done the title in different fonts and I love the title that you've chosen to use...its bittersweet beautiful.
SHCG:Brought tears to my eyes. What a great thing to scrap. I too like the way that you did joy and pain differently to emphasize the purpose behind the LO.
SHCG: I love the artistic perspective of the photo, and the sentiment behind the tribute. What strikes me about this page is how the sentiment captures both a tragic event in retrospective and the power of time to heal. Not really doing a good job of articulating what I mean... I also particularly like that your own NY experience gets a nod in your journaling. This lo is multifunctional. This might be your strategy for tackling those older memories, but don't feel you always have to. Sometimes, what's just as valid are your memories of the memories you made. KWIM? Cute stickers, and very cool way to emphasize Joy and Pain in your title.
SHCG: This is a beautiful and moving page. The photo perspective of the towers through the boat railing is a creative and breath-taking. You did a wonderful job capturing the message that I believe you are trying to portray.
SHCG - This is AMAZING, Lisa. What an excellent photo, love the perspective from the boat. I too have as many happy WTC memories as I do sorrowful ones. The bird/boat embellies add a bit of joy while not sacrificing the reverence of this subject. I love your message here. Great that you are scrapping about YOU. This is a powerful, moving & beautiful start to your BOM!
SHCG: This is a bittersweet LO and the title fits perfectly. A beautiful picture capturing a moment it time that can never be re-lived, in more ways than one. The font used is perfect and I like the accenting of the joy and pain. The journaling tag is cute with the eyelets and fits with the picture nicely.
Well my friends it's been a while since I scrapped...and many years since I scrapped something about me or for me. This photo is taken from a sailboat I crewed on in my 20s in NYC. It shows that golden time when the sun is setting and represents to me one of the happiest moments of my life. I was living it up in NYC without a care in the world! Now seeing the twin towers brings back a different memory... How do we scrap those precious moments that are now forever changed by events that followed? I am going to be facing this challenge again and again. Thank you for looking...
