hmmm - I don't think the camera is supposed to enjoy the waves - it should be documenting everyone else enjoying the waves

uggggh! When you take your camera to the beach in the beach bag with towels and sunscreen and magazines and etc. it's best to put it in a zip loc bag EVEN IF YOU DO NOT EXPECT TO GET WET. Waves have their own ideas. It's all OK though - already replaced it and it served me well in all the time it DID work :) Kinda fun to take it apart and investigate too.
