My ds is now 14 and trying to assert his own identity. Part of this has been an ongoing argument about his hair! Aaaack but it hanging in his eyes drives buggy!

Journaling Reads:

Check out the hair! Oh, but it drives me to distraction. It’s long and shaggy with funny little swoops at the ends. It hangs in his eyes and hides his handsome face. It’s messy and funky and totally Austin. Now I will give him credit, it is always and I mean ALWAYS clean. I try not to fuss about it too much, I mean hey, he bathes, (maybe a little obsessively) he washes his own clothes; spot cleans his shoes and brushes his teeth regularly. So, in the grooming department my only complaint is his hair, (I’ll not mention the baggy pants….) and I guess when it’s all said and done that’s not such a bad thing. It’s just an example of his independent spirit that I love so much.
