A few of my friends play in a band called Walking Upright. (you can find them on itunes) and were invited to play at The Bitter End in the Village by Richie Cannata, the sax player for Billy Joel's band. To show our support, my friend Emily and I took a trip out to see them.

I've been obsessed with the Banner trend, so I've added them again to this layout. I cut triangles out of pattern paper and matted them on white, DMC floss created the string and pop dots gave it some dimension.

I used my cripper, that I never use by the way, and some sand paper to create the texture on the top and bottom paper. I placed my journalling on a piece of notebook paper, added a little ink and used the torn edge as border.

The guitar is the best paper peicing peice I've ever created. I googled guitar images and traced one I liked to make a pattern. Then I used my scraps of brown and some ink to make the body, and a silver pen, and brown marker to add the details, and a small hole punch for the tuners.
