I created this piece for my first sketch challenge attempt. The contest is closing tonight at Your Scrapbook Stash. It's the first time I have ever tried to follow another artist's vision and it was really REALLY difficult! I kept ignoring the sketch and doing my own thing which I guess is ok but the layout was ending up completely different. Plus I really loved the sketch's clean and simple style but I kept junking it up with my usual itty bits.
This layout shows my daughter's birthday outfit- an Alice in Wonderland tutu. She wore it for all of 10 minutes and started to cry as the skirt got in the way of her walking. We had a back up dress, thank goodness. I am so happy she's a year old but I also miss my itty bitty baby who would fall asleep in my arms- now I am lucky if she lets me pick her up for 2 minutes before she's off and running again.
