Nice work! I color with Copics, but I've kept my Marvy markers for this exact thing - running around the cut edges of paper so I don't have to see the annoying white.
I had a couple of coordinating cardstock packs from Walmart years ago called Very Merry. The red and light green cardstock was precut. The sentiment paper was precut as well. The tree was a punch out. The packs even came with the brads and ribbon (not used on this card). I didn't like the white edges of the cardstock showing (white backed) so I ran a dark green marker along it. It worked perfectly. I also popped the tree up with one pop dot and various small pieces cut out of the surrounding foam.
