Some memories of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. Truly an amazing site. With some of these trees being more than 3000 years old, they are the oldest living things on earth. We camped there, in a tent, at about 11,000 ft above sea level.

Journaling: By the time Flash was 6 months old we figured it was time for his first road trip. Although we enjoyed our time in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, Flash was a little overwhelmed at first. Perhaps we should have taken more time to explain to him what it would feel like to spend time at an elevation of more than 10000 feet above sea level.

The embellies include a wooden pendant that I hand painted with "Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest". The pine cones below the journaling are a lucky find -- in the button section of J's. Although it's hard to see in the photo, the brown paper is textured, much like the tree trunks. I made the title in PS and rafia bows complete the page.
