I am so impressed with the detail and design here, the tiny hearts and pretty punching and stickled frame around the lo... and of course the gorgeous flowers have all come together in a superb heritage lo. Just grand.

Beautiful photos and layout. You're fortunate to have so much info..not just dates and names. It's important to keep this info going..you did it beautifully.
this is breathtaking! I love everything about it!! Love the sticked shapey border, the seriously lovely flowers, the beautiful heritage pics, the punched paper- all of it is beautiful!
I know this was for a color challenge but I love the colors you chose... the shades are perfectly classic. Love all the flowers and teh blocked papers in the bg :o)
First off - I LOVE your title work in that circle. The punch lacework is really terrific. Second, those mountain lilies are GORGEOUS! The color challenge was perfect for this layout, wasn't it? It carries the vintage topic so perfectly. I love this! Great challenge stack!
This is truly stunning, I just LOVE LOVE heritage LOs and you did an outstanding job with the flowers!! I NEED to learn how to do them, hopefully they turn out as good as yours!!! Great picture placement and loving the glitter glue!!!
Those flowers on the left rock my world! I absolutely love them! The color scheme here is perfect and I just love the LO of the photos and embellishments. Really nice.
This is for the October Heritage challenge, week 4 of the Sept sketch challenge, and the October color challenge. All the flowers are handmade. It is also for the DIY challenge to use Amarylis' tutorial on lily flowers. I went back and tweaked this a bit, when I found the companion photo that went with the main photo. I also added the following journaling on the back:
Edna Boteler Weathersby was Todd Courtney's grandmother. She was born in 1915 and the youngest child of John and Amanda Boteler. She died in 2004. She had four sisters who lived to adulthood, but the two with whom she seemed the closest were Celeste and Ellene. Celeste never married, and continued to live at their parents' home for many years. The original homesite was across the drive from where we live now. Celeste was four years older than Edna, and was the closest in age to Edna. Ellene was the oldest of Edna's siblings, and 18 years older than Edna.
I think the photos here were taken in the early 1930's when Edna was still a teenager. That would have meant that Celeste was probably in her early 20's and Ellene was in her 30's. The love that existed between these sisters is clear from these amazing photos that were taken so long ago.
