I have the yellow (two of them), red, blue, and smaller red. They are the best bowls! My mom in law gave them to me as she said they were too heavy for her. We mix our hotcake batter up in the yellow one every Sunday morning! Your find may be faded but I bet it is still usable!
10-6-10...I live on a 288 acre piece of farmland, today I was out walking and stumbled onto a dump site. I poked around and found this Pyrex bowl....it doesn't have one chip or crack but it's stained and the color has faded. ONCE UPON A TIME this bowl was bright red. It's part of a set of four that was made in the 1940's and was quite popular in every homemaker's kitchen in the 50's, 60's, 70's and maybe even still today. The set had 4 nesting bowls; the largest one was yellow, the green one was next, then the red one and a small blue one completed the set. My Mom has/had a set...Do any of you remember them??
