A heritage lo of my grandfather and grandmother...tracing my family lineage through the Taylor side...
This is for the October monochrome challenge week 3: BROWN... and for the Scrap Your Faves. This is a lift of everglades field trip by Amarilys which can be seen here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/104219/view/2917072/-1.html
Since the lo is mainly about my grandfather, the journaling is as well. It reads:
Jack Lee Taylor was born February 21, 1941 at Olney, Oklahoma. He was the last of four children. As a young man, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1960 until 1964. In 1964 he married Mary Kathleen Hampton from Olney. They had three daughters together. Cindy Ann in 1964, Mona Lee in 1965, and Sheila Kay in 1970. After the army, Jack worked in the oil fields. He died October 25, 1981. He is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, Ok.
Above the picture, the journaling reads:
Jack and Kathy on their wedding day, February 17, 1964.
the flowers are from the Grab Bag of the Month swap hosted by Valechula!
