Thanks to all for your nice comments! This is so much fun. In reply to ScrappingPeach: the "pocket" is constructed from the front part of a real pair of Chucks, including the grommets where the shoelaces would normally go. To turn the pieces into a pocket, I taped them to a piece of white cardstock, then stitched around 3 sides. Then, I adhered the white cardstock with double-sided-tape to a piece of blue cardstock. The blue cardstock is adhered to the page with those really sticky glue dots. I cut a piece of the shoe tongue to fit in the pocket, and mounted the journaling to it with glue dots.
I'm impressed by your layout! I love the colors you used, the stitched semi-circle background, and of course, the creative use of the tongue of an old shoe as your tag holder. How did you adhere this to your page?
Hidden Journaling, using the tongue from an old pair of shoes.
Journaling: I have a prosthetic foot, and the ankle doesn't bend. So, if I wear shoes with heels I can't walk properly. Fortunately, I can wear Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. I love them and have worn them since I was three years old! I have other shoes, but Chucks are my absolute favorites! Lauren, 2006
