Oh, you've created a treasure from the most precious ephemera and wonderful assortment of goodies. I don't even know where to begin with this page. I'm putting it in my faves. It's heartwarming. I'm sure that you're thrilled with how it turned out!
Absolutely awesome layout!!!!! I love, love everything about it! What a great photo! And your details are amazing - the stitching, the envelope, and the letter look wonderful!
Now I have the theme to Mayberry stuck in my head, good thing I can't whistle. This is amazing in detail, great mix of papers and I really like the work on the title. Great story and I love the memoralia. Fav.
Tis is fantastic -- what a treasure to have both the photo and the letters. And I'm loving the closeup of the boots. You should post it on the heritage thread --for sharing this month.
When my father was 7 years old, his Grandad Waters wrote him a letter planning a fishing trip at Christmas in 1938. The letter outlined plans to use Mae's cornbread for bait and told Daddy to get some boots for the trip to the lake by the depot. This letter and the subsequent picture are one of my most precious possessions!! Urban Cosmos patterned papers by Prima, Pink Paislee and Making Memories lettering, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Bundled Sage, Stazon Ink in Timber Brown, machine stitching, string of fish made from glass fish beads attached to pullout tag with journaling. Supplies from Flamingo Scraps and my stash. TFL!!!!
