I used a sketch challenge from splitcoaststampers.com. The sketch gallery can be found HERE. They have 302 of them as of now. I used Sketch Challenge 264.
I used an 8.5 x 11 inches paper pack that Walmart used to sell. They all went on clearance and they don't carry them anymore. I'm glad I finally found a reason to use them.
FRONT OF CARD, SUPPLIES: -Blank White Card measuring 6.5 by 5 inches -Best Occasions Paper Pack (front and inside of card) -Cricut and Fabulous Finds Cartridge -Dark Green Core'dinations Paper -Green Ribbon -Foam Sheets for Dimension and Glue Gun -Clear stamps by Inkadinkado "Happy Days" -Momento "Bamboo Leaves" Dew Drop -Home Accents Cricut Cartridge (Inside Bottom of the card) -2 Jewels (Inside Bottom of the card)
TO MAKE THE BIRTHDAY CARD:
I created a cricut .cut file for the entire card (the front) including all the matting (I add .127 to all dimensions for the matting). Any cartridge with a square will do. I used Fabulous Finds. All I had to do was pick the papers. I raised the 3 vertical strips of paper on the front using foam sheets. Just cut to size. It's a MUCH cheeper way to add dimension. It only cost about $5.00 for 50 sheets measured 5.5 by 8 inches. Goes a long way!! I stamped the Happy Birthday using Dew Drop Momento ink on the front. I added ribbon. All I did was tie a knot and attach it. Leave an inch or so overlapping the top and bottom so you can wrap it around. Then I attached it to a blank white card.
