One of the great things about having children is that it reminds you of your own carefree youth. As a child, I loved to go barefoot. And living in the South, it was barefoot weather almost year round. My boys are the same way. I can barely keep shoes on them. I did this page to capture that childhood feeling of freedom.

The only thing I loved more as a child than going barefoot was eating candy. I thought it would be fun to combine the two: barefeet and candy.

Papers and embellies are Bella Blvd, from the One Fall Day, All Inclusive, and Super Stud collections. I had these papers out for my previous layout and thought I could use the scraps and a square punch for this page.

The photo text says: Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet. The journaling strips say: You love to be outside barefoot and free. If you could trick-or-treat without any shoes, that's exactly how you'd be. My silly boy ~ October 2010
