This is just amazing, Mel. Does Dana know you're doing it? Could you both do some journalling, even if its hidden? It seems such a constructive way to get through this experience and ultimately to help other people get through it too. Love those flowers, butterflies and ribbon.
wonderful page! I'm so glad you're scrapping this journey for Dana, I know it will be hard for you to do. I've mailed you the card I made for her yesterday, hopefully you get it very soon. I'll see you Nov. 20 at Dana's walk
a heartfelt lo truly depicting how this terrible disease cripples not just one person, but an entire family. i pray God heal your sister and give you all the strength to help her in this fight.
My sister Dana was diagnosed with Breast Cancer September 21st. I am scrapbooking her fight against this horrible disease and this is my first layout for that book. The photo is of Dana and our Mother, who has been so stricken over Dana's situation she can barely think of anything else. She gets up, gets dressed and goes over to Dana's house most every day since the diagnosis to clean, do laundry or figure some other way to help. It's ver heartwrenching to watch her figure a way to deal with the situation. Dana keeps a very brave face for our Mom. the ribbon is a rubber stamped image I cut out of pink and again with black paper to give it dimension. The bigger flowers were made by my friend Alda Stephens (Flying Unicorn).
