This is one of the cards I am most proud of out of all the ones I made for my mom's christmas present!
the blue/yellow/green/purple rectangles with what looks like fiber wrapped around brads is actually a cut out from a birthday-themed set. The image was originally vertical, just a kind of color-blocked accent, but to me it looked like candle sticks so I turned it sideways and matted it on blue on the front of the card. Then, I took a sheet of double-sided adhesive and used a water droplet punch to punch out four drops to turn into candle flames. To make them look more flame like, I trimmed one side of each "droplet" (before both sides were long and straight, I made it a little shorter and curvier). *then* I took gold microbeads and pressed them onto the adhesive shapes - voila, candle flames! :) I just thought this looked so neat and was proud of myself for finding a way to adjust the punchie to fit what I wanted. hope you like it!
