Journaling: Katie and Sam’s latest craze is Star Wars. They get it from their dad. He was 4 years old when the original movie premiered and grew up on Luke, Han, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca. Like every little boy of the time, he had a collection of Star Wars figures, complete with Darth Vader carrying case -- that is, until his mother sold them in a garage sale. He’s never forgiven me for doing that, and I hear about it on a regular basis. He introduced Katie and Sam to the obsession when we were at the beach by showing them the original movie. They LOVED it. Now they are building their own collection of Star Wars figures, or rather Marc searches eBay and various other sites in a quest to find them all. One day when I was at their house, they called me to Sam’s room so I could see the house they had built for the guys. Han, Chewie, and C3PO all had their own lego beds. I’m not quite sure how the snowman fits in; maybe I missed the movie he was in. 10.03.10
