For the November Swirlydoos Round Robin Challenge, what could be a more appropriate twist than Thankfulness? This is my favorite picture of my sons, my true blessing…

I laid down a lot of layers of Distress ink onto the resist paper to give it a golden Fall color. I then cut out a circle from the Heidi Swapp paper and after applying the same inks, I misted it with some Moon Shadow mist, then went over it lightly with some of the Rusty Hinge to tone down the gold sheen. When that was done, I took out a MS punch and followed Lisa’s fantastic Deco Circle tutorial. The leaves are made from Grungepaper, a RAK from Cheryl (thanks, sweetie, love it!!!!), colored with more distressed ink and spritzed with Moon Shadow ink. The rosettes are packaging paper that I’ve been using as an inking mat, so it’s colored with a variety of Distress ink and lots of different spray mists. For the heart, I followed a technique that I learned from Kathy: I ran it though my Epic with a Texturz folder, inked it, and then coated it with Glossy Accents. The clock face is also from the wonderful package of goodies that Cheryl sent to me. The spinners and ball chain are from my stash. The border ribbon is from my hoard. Rae has challenged us to use at least five of our our most prized scrappy goodness; this is my first item.
