Oh Fran! You went to Hawaii, too! We were stationed there twice. Our first tour was cut short because my husband went to flight school. We were there for 9 months, and then we requested to return after he finished flight school and we were stationed there just shy of 3 years and that tour was cut a little short because he was one of the cobra pilots that was involved in Desert Storm. We were living in Schofield Baracks on Oahu. The kids and I never made it to any of the other islands but my husband flew while on duty to a couple of the other islands. Wow! Such a great place! I'm so glad you were able to experience Hawaii and Europe. We went to the beach one year on Christmas day! Ha!!! Didn't seem like Christmas but it sure was a nice day......in the sun! There were times when we were determined to spend the day at the beach and 'if' it was raining on one side of the island, you could always go to the other side and enjoy a day on the beach. Great memories! What island did you visit? Cindy

Fran, this is adorable! I remember the story of the hurricane hitting Hawaii when you were there for vacation. How scary! But you managed to make it work anyway and this layout is awesome! I love the tropical feel of it and that you have real shells decorating it. Great pics, too! Wonderful job!

This is really, really, adorable and pretty. I love all the little images you cut out and coloured. I also think that the rough fabric ribbon captured the look of grass and sand and suspect that you had that in mind when you made the layout.
