This is such a heartfelt LO Vickie.....I love the photos and your journaling is beautiful and touching. I wish I had grandparents at all......You did a wonderful job on this page!!
Oh this "simple" page has such LOVE all over it!!! Your journaling is so sweet and makes me wish I had Italian grandparents! LOL Love that scroll punch at the top and your adorable flowers! The photos are so precious! I just love those from "Way back when" LOL I was born in 1961 : ) so I have a few of those too! Wonderful page!!!
Vickie, I love your beautiful and heartfelt journaling. I believe it took long to create this special layout because you were basking in the wonderful and happy memories; I often do that also. You've defintely created a marvelous tribute!
what a great title! love your journaling....I have found that putting your heartfelt thoughts & memories into words doesn't always come automatically. I think especially when we really want to honour someone or our relationship with them, a few words seem so inadequate for all the happy and wonderful times you had with them. the flowers look really pretty with their bling centres and are the prefect embelishment for this lovely page. it may be a simple LO...but it certainly has a whole lot of heart!
What a wonderful layout, Vickie! I really love the b&w photos of your grandparents and you and your brother! They are real treasures!!! But your journaling is what really makes this layout special!!!! Beautiful work!!!!
Me, my brother and maternal grandparents, 1961. don't know why, but this simple lo took my a week to finish. I think I was really concentrating on the journaling. Stamped the title, stamped and fussy cut the flowers and tag at the top. All soooo simple. TFL - I appreciate you looking and love to read your comments. "No two people could have loved or been loved more than the two of you. I remember Papa's big hands gently tickling me. He used to pick me up so I could ride on his big shoulders. I remember he took Kirk with him when he walked in the evening. I remember the smell of his pipe. I remember Noni trying to teach me Italian (she paid me a nickel every time I got a word right). Because of her, I love anything marinated (not too many 3 yr olds like marinated artichoke hearts). They taught us that there is nothing more important than the love of family and that there's always room for one more at Sunday dinner."
