Good photo of the eye of the needle, it's a tricky one to get without getting run over! On our honeymoon my dh chose this highway to teach me how to drive a stick shift! Do so remember those hairpin curves even after 31 yrs.!
Hello from the Black Hills of SD!! I always enjoy seeing other people's "tourist" layouts of our area! Did you get to see a tour bus go thru that tunnel? It always amazes me that they can get thru there with only inches to spare on all sides! I love the papers you used & the half-circle method of making scallops is very creative!
I was there many years ago...and your photos brought me back there....I love this page and the way you matted the three photos as one....and I love those scallops what a wonderful little detail.....great page!!!
This is a scenic highway near Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. I distressed the edges of the b/g paper, double matted the photos and then stitched along the white mat. The scallops on 3 sides are small circles cut in half. The design is from a layout in Scrapbooks, Etc. Journaling: A granite formation that looks like the eye of a needle, slender peaks, hairpin curves and narrow tunnels made this drive quite an adventure for us.
