So I recently uploaded an elegant vintage Christmas Style LO called Christmas past using this same photo. But I had to re-do the LO in a more comical fashion as there is a funny story behind this photo. My Mom is Jewish, and when I saw this photo for the 1st time it wasn't "Awww, look at mom as a cute kid visiting Santa" It was more like "Grandma actually took you to go see Santa?" They never celebrated Christmas and about 10 years after this picture was taken my mom & her sisters actually talked my grandparents into celebrating Christmas. As soon as the tree went up and it was all decorated my Mom's Grandpa pulled up in front of their house and my Grandma had everyone grab the tree and run it downsatirs as she was picking tinsel off the floor and any other decorations that fell off. After my Mom's Grandpa left, the tree never got put back and that was their short lived Christmas. So growing up hearing that story you can imagine my surprise to come across this photo. This was taken before my mom's sisters were born and she was the only kid in the family to ever get her picture taken with Santa.
I also handmade the hamantaschen cookies in the lower right corner.
