No photographs here, just scans of the three ribbons my girl, Rusty, won on the way to finishing her Novice Agility Title. She was my "Novice A dog" which means that she was the first dog I completed with. I will never again have a "Noivce A agility dog" Rusty finished her first title by earning 3 first place ribbons as well.

I made the "black board" from a wood texture that I downloaded. Then I layered and wrote on the black center part, where I illustrated "agility math": 3 Runs + 3 Perfect Scores + 3 Blue Ribbons = 1 New Title I then printed it on matte paper.

Journaling: After the first trial, the first title earned by an agility dog, especially a "Novice A' agility dog, marks the next significant milestone along the agility journey. Although the final destination would remain beyond my comprehension for several years to come, that first title filled me with hope and anticipation of good things to come. Finishing Rusty's NA at the Mt. Diablo Dog Training Club trial was especially thrilling since that was the club where we had been doing our obedience training. At the end of the day, it was with a great deal of pride and humility and I accepted Rusty's ribbons and new title medallion from her breeder, Penny, A MDDTC member. Rusty made it especially exciting by earning her first title in style, with three blue ribbons in three consecutive Standard courses with three clean runs. Our early performances in JWW met with less success and allowed me to retain perspective, however. I remember being baffled by JWW: So fast, So many jumps and So few landmarks!
