It's Christmas morning, the sweet day of Jesus' birth I embrace
As I look across the bed, I see your face
When your eyelids lift, eyes meet-love is seen
I am filled once again with a since of well-being

We smile as we hear footsteps down the stairs tread
It's much too early: we don't want to get out of bed
From a wide-eyed child, to a fine young man
I hear my heart whisper, hold to this momeht while you can

Before presents can be opened-there is a routine
Coffee and hot chocolate next to the Christmas tree we bring
We talk and we laugh and then it is time
There are presents to be opened, wrapping and bows start flying

Carefully, we watch each expression on our child's face
This memory, along with all the others, in our hearts we will place
So quickly it is over, another Christmas morning is past
Just like the last twelve years, it has gone too fast

Hugs and kisses-smiles so wide
The love between us three, we can not hide
What is the best gift that I have ever received?
You and Draven... my loving family
