SUPPLIES: The Paper Studio, Inspiration Kit (Paper and Embellishments) Paper Plate Adirondack Alcohol Inks: Gold & Eggplant Ink Applicator Tool Chipboard letters Photo Corners Paper Frills K & Company rub-on Jewels
I made this card for my cousin. She turns 16 this month. I found a kit on clearance at Hobby Lobby and used it for this card. The design for the front of the card came from a video I saw on Youtube.com by StarofMay. The link is BELOW. To get the rounded part of the paper I used a paper plate. I usually use my cricut and the fabulous finds cartridge but I needed to get the perfect section of paper because I needed to find an empty area for the chipboard letters "Sweet 16". To color those chipboard letters I used Adirondack Alcohol Inks, "Eggplant". Just put a couple drops on it. I added 3 of the embellishments that came with the kit.........the 2 flowers and 1 butterfly. To finish the front, I added photo corners that were also colored with the Eggplant alcohol ink. I used them because I didn't matt the front of the card.
For the inside, top I just cut a section of another paper that came with the kit. I added the bird embellishment. On the sides of the bird I colored the chipboard { & } with Eggplant. Above that I used the Gold Mixation Adirondack Alcohol ink on a Paper Frill. It can be found at Hobby Lobby.
On the bottom, I once again colored the Happy Birthday with Eggplant. I added a K & Co. Rub-on next to "Happy". I added 5 jewels under the "Birthday" as a little seperation to what I wanted to write.
