I'm so very happy to be posting a Christmas page in December & not in July which is how it usually works out!

This layout is based on our yearly tradition of taking pictures in front of the tree for our holiday cards. Getting our fur-pup Toby to actually look at the camera at the precise moment is a task in itself. The hidden journaling behind the poinsettia explains it all:

Every Christmas it's the same routine--two dozen or more pictures taken by the tree. An endless quest, a serach for the Holy Grail, hoping & dreaming that Toby will actually look at the camera at that exact moment the picture is taken. It's like winning the lotto when we finally get the perfect Christmas money shot!

I primarily used the Swirlydoos December kit on this. However there are a couple of handmade embellishments. The transparent ornaments, the snowy tinseled green frame & the faux metal & acrylic poinsettia are all home made embellishments. I have tutorials on how to make all three of these on my blog.

The Chrismtas butterflies are items from my small Etsy shop.

For close-ups, details, how to's or if interested in any of the tutorials for this page please feel free to visit my blog:

Happy Holidays to everybody & thank you for the comments & visits!
