I love that you don't give him a choice about carrying on the tradition. Family traditions are so important...even if it's eating a pumpkin seed. Yuck! I know, I know people love them. Just not me, but I'd roast them for my kids anyway.
I agree with Jo, your writing always definitely makes your pages. Well actually on this layout, Lukie makes the page. He is so cute here with his jackolantern and seeds. Great tradition to pass on...we save pumpkin sees too to bake. Love this page!
the kid coming out of the pumpkin is really cute. I like how you are recording family traditions in your journal of scrapbook pages. I've read over and over how some people struggle the most with the writing part...I'm glad you don't! To me, it's what really makes the page. I love the background colors.
Toooo cute.......and we did that too.....!!!! He is just so precious....and I love this page...love the title font, verticle, and the little vintage pumpkin kid....is adorable......!!!!!
Our youngest dgs last Halloween -- the journaling:
Yay!! SEEDS!! The reason you are holding those seeds Lukie is because a long, long, LONG time ago, when Grandma was a little girl, after we carved the jackolantern, my mom would wash the seeds, salt them and bake them and my brother and I LOVED them. Then, when your daddy was a little boy and we carved the jackolantern. I would wash the seeds and salt them and bake them and your dad and Uncle Troy and Aunt Tersh loved them. And now YOUR dad does it. And guess what YOU will do when YOU grow up and have kids? And you will want to, but JUST IN CASE you DON’T want to, too bad, YOU don’t have any choice. It’s TRADITION!!! (I love you!)
