This holiday season I've been delving into creating cards for the first time since...well, come to think of it...I was in grade school. It's delightfully fun and such an incredibly natural partner to scrapbooking (I totally understand now why so many scrapbookers are also card makers). I definitely have tons to learn, but I'm loving every moment of the card creating process (and have started thinking I might never buy a premade card from the store again! :D)

I made this card for my mom (who adores poinsettias – so hence their inclusion here) and step-dad, because it somehow felt so incredibly natural to give my first card to my parents (after all, they were the first recipients of those childhood cards :-) ).
