I love the masculine feel of this page and the floral pp you used. I especially love the tag! Perhaps you should change the orange flower to a deep blue one. I also like Ilene's suggestion on the circles (and moving it to the cream mat). I also agree on Angie's comment on moving the "ogether" to the cream mat, and moving the "t" proportionately. I love what you have going here, the striped pp and the swirls look awesome!
Hi! I love the picture in this layout. It's very sweet. I also really liked that you used the striped paper to make the title "t". I think the zig zag strip on the edge of the striped paper makes a great transition to the picture. I would consider lowering the first two circles so they are all on the tan strip, or raising the third circle so it's the same distance from the second as the second is from the first. I think the orange flower looks fine, since there is orange in the patterned papers, but if you do change it, I would suggest maybe using the striped paper for a flower with a solid navy center. This is really great work!!! I'm so glad you joined us!!! :)
I really like your color scheme. I love how you did the photo with the ric rac and the striped pp, and that is a really fun way to mat with the edges of the burgandy and cream going all the way to the edge of the lo. I love the fiber done in swirls on the bottom too. As far as suggestions go, I would move the letters in the title over so that all letters except the capital T are on the cream paper. The o looks odd being the only letter splitting two colors. Then I would move the T closer to the other letters and move it down a little bit so that the bottom of the T lines up with the bottom of the other letters. I reall like your circles of pp, and I like Ilenes idea of moving the circles so that they are all on the cream, and I would also make them equidistant. Then I would use a white gel pen to do some swirly doodle in the top right corner to go along with those on the bottom left. I don't care for the orange flower. The color doesn't go with anything else in the lo very well. I too would replace it with a silk one like Ilene suggested, but I would go with a cream colored flower or a light blue that matches the colors of the flowers on pp. A dark flower would blend in too much with the dark cardstock behind it. I love the inked tag! I would maybe ink some other elements on the page so that element is carried through the layout (maybe the capital T, the edges of the circles, and the edges of the silk flower if you added one). I hope this is helpful. I tried giving lots of suggestions so that you could see things from a different perspective. This is such a fun lo, and you look so happy and content in that picture!
This is a great lo!!! Love the colors you used; the blues and browns work wonderfully together. Love the fun touches of pp you used in the letter T and the circles. The matting of the pic so cool with it butted up against the rc-rac and pp. I think the orange flower stands out too much. Maybe you could distress it to tone the color down, or replace it as Ilene suggested. I also wonder how the solid colored letters in the title would look outlined in white; perhaps they'd stand out a bit more. Love the way you distressed the journaling tag, and think the circles would look cool that way too. Great work here :)
I like that you used a black and white photo of you and your bf. The looks on your faces say alot about how you feel about each other. The various shades of blue, brown and tan work well together to give the page a masculine feel, while the flowered disks give it a little touch of femininity. The striped paper mat and letter 't' from the title make it playful, as does the navy blue rick rack, so it appears that you have a playful spiriti in your relationship. The one color I do not like on the page is the orange flower. I suggest moving the three flowered disks closer together, so they are all on the cream colored mat. I don't think that the white ribbon adds anything, so I would take it out. In place of the orange flower, I suggest some doodling or a larger silk flower, in a navy blue. Could you add the journaling that is on the tag to your description field in the album so we can read it too? I'd love to read what's on the tag, because I know you put your heart into it.
This is one of my favorite pages. In this picture we ( me and my boyfriend) were in Lexington KY walking in the fountain park. It took me a long time to complete this layout but it was worth the wait!
