Oh gosh what an afternoon, good story. I had to laugh that the cat wouldn't look at you, they are so human. The tree looks wonderful, that had to take some time and some work! However it payed off because it is a nice "Wow!" effect! Really nice job documenting a slice of life! Love it!
I love how you constructed your tree and the sun. Really creative. I love your story. It reminded me of my favorite movie."National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" I imagine you know the movie....where the squirrel comes into the house. I also think it's so great that you showed your dh all decked out to catch the squirrel. Lucky for that squirrel that he didn't drown in the toilet! He should be eternally grateful. LOL
Oh wow, what a story. We had a squirrel that got into my work building. We called animal control, and they told us they could get pretty mean. Glad you had a successful conclusion.
awww...love it! We actually had a pet squirrel, an abandoned baby we rescued, and since then I love anything squirrel-related, so this sure caught my eye!so glad your kitty didn't hurt the little critter, and the story had a happy ending(for everyone but Pinky I guess!!LOL)Love your tree and rickrack sun!
I have that tree idea in one of my kits also! Love it! The story is hysterical and still makes me laugh. Love your DH's 'squirrel-buster' get up, all the embellies and leaf border@@
Just too funny. The cat looks awful clean and shiny--lucky squirrel to "get away!' It probably wouldn't have been easy to catch had it not taken a dip in the toilet!
Loved that tree from SB,etc. I want to try it too. What a funny story. Our cats love to come show us their "catch" too, but most of the time it's too late to let them go.:( Pinky does seem to be pouting. LOL great job!!
Oh my goodness! I would've been freaking out! I'm glad your DH was able to catch it! Your layout is gorgeous. I love the tree and grass you made. So cool!
Fun layout & story!! My cat likes to bring his treasures inside too. Usually it's a mouse, but once he brought a live bird inside... I was a bit late for work that day...
Nice job on the grass!!!
Poor kitty wanted to show off his catch to his family!!!
When I was a kid and we had an outdoor cat called Tiger, he did this kind of thing often. A squirrel or a bird or a mouse and one time a bat!
My Dad was always having to trap them and take them outside. He often used our newspaper delivery bag and it was always funny and exciting!
:D
Our cat, Pinky caught a live squirrel. He brought it home through the dog door, and it escaped in our house. I couldn't find it. So, I had to call my husband at work to come help me catch the squirrel. The squirrel had hidden in our bathroom, and fallen in the toilet. We fished the squirrel out, dried him off, and released him in the tree. Whew, busy afternoon! In the photo, Pinky is pouting and won't look at us, because we took away his squirrel. Thanks to my bff, olescrapper, for the vintage squirrel graphics, and the felt leaves and acorn buttons. This layout was inspired by two layouts in Scrapbooks, etc. Magazine. I scissor cut the grass by hand. Used up some more scraps making the tree.
