Entry # 3: 2005 McDonald Cousin Christmas Tea
This day was so special for Debbie and me. We invited thirteen of our girl cousins, but as you can see only 2 showed up. Even though not all of them came we couldn’t have had a better time. We laughed and reminisced about things that had happened in our youth and can’t wait until this year to do it again. Debbie made the most adorable utensil stocking holders. It’s my turn this year, so I’m already planning the event. There were so many good picture of the event I couldn’t just put three, so I created a flip-up with a picture of each of us during the “Dirty Santa” game.
Journaling: The white square of journaling in the lower left corner reads “What are your holiday traditions? McDonald Cousin Christmas Tea! On December 10, 2005, Debbie and I held the first annual tea. Even though only four were in attendance, fun, good food, and fond memories were had by all. Next year we are hoping more will attend, but if not will still celebrate our family heritage together!”, the journaling on the first flap of the flip-up reads: Charmie Opens the first “Dirty Santa Gift!”, on second flap of flip-up reads “Vicki w/her choice!” and “Debb looked on with glee in her eyes!” and on the third flap of the flip-up reads “Kathy Opens the last “Dirty Santa” Gift!” and “Wow the gifts were great!”
