Sounds and looks like you are really blessed to have a loving husband! Your creative expression of being lost, the arrows pointing in various directions, only to circle back to the beginning, evidence your words of being in a whirlwind! I also admire the telephone, and spiraling cord, atop the maps. Maintaining your loving "connection" to your husband and the words you share will help him look forward to hugging you again! Koodos to the love you share! I thank him for the service he provides! I thank you for sharing! I thank God for allowing me to enjoy your union and your artistry! Peace be with you!
Hey everybody! this is a pic of my husband during his deployment in 2008. This is actually my interpretation of a sketch at twistedsketches.com ...the twist was maps.
The journaling is in the form of a letter to my husband...explaining how I felt at the time (not something I could really do while he was gone). It reads:
"Steve, I miss you so much. Life feels like a whirlwind of chaos without you. Its so hard to feel like myself when such a huge piece of me is missing. The thing I miss most is your hugs. I never knew how valuable they were until you were gone. Being in your arms was the one thing that could take the craziness away and help me to focus again. Can't wait to feel your arms around me again. I love you."
sounds kind of cheezy but after talking to other military wives I discovered that they felt the same way...hugs were what they missed most from their husbands.
Oh by the way my husband asked me why I picked a pic of him being goofy for such a heartfelt LO. Truth is that I didnt even think anything of it because that was the next thing I missed most was his sense of humor. He is always making everyone laugh and knowing that he was trying to be goofy in the pic made me smile...TFL!!!
